Gardening tips

Here are a couple of useful tips we’ve compiled when it comes to growing and taking care of your own roses. Roses are beautiful, but delicate. It may not be easy at first, but we are sure that with the proper information, and a little tender lovin’ care, you will be able to make your own roses bloom.

1. Sunshine and lots of it. Roses love the sun, so choose a nice sunny spot, preferably with some nice morning light. The more the sun they get, the better they grow!

2. Choose an area with well drained soil. If you are not sure about the PH level of your soil, get a testing kit from your local gardening store. Ideally, the PH should be between 5.5 to 7.

3. Roses love water and need plenty of hydration. During the first month after planting, you should water them often. Check the top layer of your soil. If it’s dry, time to water.

4. Roses need air and space to grow. Choose a proper area with lots of air circulation and plant them with enough space in between (usually twice the size that the rose takes up).

5. The last, but certainly not the least important of our tips, choose the right type of rose for your taste, climate and experience level. Wether you choose modern, miniature, old garden, shrub or landscape, a little bit of research and patience will go a long way!

If you have any other gardening ideas and tips, we would love to hear from you.
